Local and National Figures learn about New Mexico's booming industries

Over 100 local and national guests joined NMOBA for a day packed with educational and networking opportunities for their businesses. Leaders in the Cannabis Business, New Mexico Film Industry, Brewing and Distilling, Digital Marketing, and LGBTQ+ Tourism share experiences, advice, and comradery during this one-day event.

The dynamic speakers included national leaders from the NGLCC (National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce) as well as New Mexican from Equality New Mexico, New Mexico United, Bernalillo County Economic Development, and more! This was a true day of community, education, and celebration.

Deian recently completed a day-long continuing education training for Guardian's ad litem in custody cases. A GAL is an attorney who represents children in court, either in contested custody matters or in other cases. As a family law attorney, GAL, and a member of the LGBTQ+ Family Law Institute, I'm proud to be the voice for the child's best interests in difficult circumstances.

Thrift Smart has enjoyed 5 years as a nonprofit store, with the proceeds going to help low income senior citizens. We've signed another year lease to help this effort. We are a bit different as stores go as we launder all clothing, towels, and sheets, check out all electronics, and actually refinish all the wood furniture that we sell. If you are looking for quality items that are in great condition, please come see us.
